John Shotter is a professor of interpersonal relations in the Department of Communication, University of New Hampshire. His long term interest is in the social conditions conducive to people having a voice in the development of participatory democracies and civil societies. He is a leading contributor to the literature on Social Constructionism. He is the author of: Images of Man in Psychological Research, Human Action and its Psychological Investigation, Social Accountability and Selfhood, Cultural Politics of Everyday Life, Knowing of the Third Kind, and Conversational Realities.
